My family of 5 ate at Founding Farmers last Sunday while on vacation in DC, and we are still talking about how wonderful it was, 3 nights later! I had the goat cheese ravioli which was amazing! My husband's steak was cooked beautifully & full of flavor, and 2 of our girls thoroughly enjoyed the chicken & waffles, not to mention the red velvet cake we all shared at the end. Our server was attentive throughout the whole meal, and we were sat promptly at our reservation time in a large, circular booth with plenty of room for the 5 of us. We were pleased with our bill as well; very worth it for all we had. I even recommended Founding Farmers to someone else visiting DC, and they went the next night and said they really liked it as well. Wonderful place!

I can't say enough about this wonderful place. Every cat in the cafe is available for adoption and the two-level cafe is perfectly designed to let felines and humans interact (or nap, or sip a nice hot drink or from a cat fountain). It's clear the staff love their work and they know everything about each cat. The atmosphere is inclusive, especially since everyone is paying attention to the cats, so it's friendly and easy going which further adds to the unique, cozy vibe. (If you love a cat lover but are less enthusiastic yourself, just know that this place is immaculate and has some very strong HEPA air filters quietly chugging away. An excellent place for those who love but can't live with cats, too.) This is a wonderful feline oasis!

Great atmosphere and food to match very eclectic when you combine reading and food there's no going wrong... we had the shrimp and crab grits which were phenomenal also the shrimp chicken sausage pasta which I believe has pork casing didn't particularly care for it as it was dry and the pork was a definite NoNo!!! But this wasn't my first time at the rodeo so based on my previous experiences I'd have to give them 5 stars great service and I believe Ryan was our server A+

A love of 90's music on a rainy Thursday night and sincere curiosity led us to the newly opened Buckeye + Bear in DuPont. Upon arrival, I realize that we are where The Huxley, a high-end nightclub and venue, used to be. Excited to see how the space had transformed, we show ID's to security at the door and walk through a hall wallpapered completely in concert posters. An incredible vibe, reminiscent of the movie "Almost Famous", I felt like we were entering a private show hidden somewhere in the heart of Brooklyn. The hallway leads us to "The Green Room", a sizable bar area ensconced with Led Zeppelin posters and similar memorabilia. Shiny wooden booths with a "picnic table-esque" vibe gleam along the edge. Just behind the normal bar seating, a second high top standing-only bar afforded us prime spots to watch the basketball game. The menu boasts a rousing array of southern favorites, including a tantalizing pulled pork sandwich and a fiercely incredible buffalo chicken dip. The beer list is conservatively unpretentious, making ordering a drink feel nonchalant; a humble reprieve from D.C. bars that sometimes go overboard on their brew selection. We order some drinks and meander to the back of the bar, where we can hear the band performing in The Ballroom. While slightly smaller than similar music venues downtown, The Ballroom at Buckeye + Bear offers a more intimate evening, perfect for a date, casual drinks with friends, or an up-close and personal encounter with whoever is performing that evening. The dynamic creativity put in to this space is clearly reflected in the perfect acoustics and overall feel of the room. High praise to Ryan Seelbach and Eric Lund for producing another top notch and tastefully trendy venue.

My son & friends played a gig here, love the cool vibe, great food & drink selection, fantastic selection of local musicians - your bound to find something to live about this place!

We really enjoyed our two night stay in late July. The hotel was very clean, trendy and the staff was very friendly and professional. The only complaint that we have is the over 50.00 a night for parking. We don't feel that there should be a fee when staying at the hotel. If more than one car in a room, then yes, a fee could be charged. How about offering the parking cost back in a gift cert towards another stay or towards dinner in the restaurant, etc.

My husband, my friends, and I stayed here for 4 nights. One of which from around 6 pm to I guess 5 am or around there, the power was out. The staff was awesome and so patient with all of the guests and really kept their composure. The same night, someone had pulled the fire alarm so we all had to evacuate and atill, the staff remained patient and kind. We would definitely stay here again!!

As a Ugandan and patriot wish to express my concern on the political situation currently. After massively rigging the election characterised by violence, intimidation, bribery, blocking the social media networks, dis respect of human rights and lack of freedom, still Museveni was defeated by far. The people's elect president Kiiza Besigye was arrest on election day and several other top leaders. under house arrest till today morning when he was re arested taken to un known distination. the winner of the election Opposition Forum for Democratic change( FDC) Headquators were under attack by heavy police and Millitary to force into offices and arrest all the people in such of election data results which is the evidence to break down museveni and his electral commission chairman who anounced Museveni without Talling all results from pro opposition districts. therefore the international community should intervine and save the crambling Democracy of Uganda from the Dectator. the people of Uganda seek transperancy in re run or recounting and auditing electral results. For God and my country. one uganda one people.

Well VOA is the most trusted, reliable communication network, that not broadcast beyond what it has testified and proved beyond reasonable doubt. In a general I nickname it fidelity network

I have visited many times and always love it! My only complaint is lack of water to drink! The vending carts close at 5:30. After that you only have a few choice water fountains that have lukewarm water if they work at all! Please put more water fountains with fresh cool water near the monuments. Many people enjoy walking from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln and back in the afternoon. It is difficult to carry enough water for the entire day for four people.

As always it is a joy to see this amazing engineering design and the tranquility around this Washington Monument National Monument, always a humble reminder of that it is great to be an American citizen! #USA

The overnight at the museum for the 40th birthday was pretty cool. But you might want to rethink a few things. If you plan on doing a scavenger hunt, maybe you should hand out a single page to write down all the answers and turn it in that way less people will be pushing and shoving. You may also want to rethink serving alcohol. And most importantly you might want to have a first aid kit on hand so that when a guest gets hit in the face by a drunk person running through the museum doing the scavenger hunt you can at least provide an ice pack. Other than the facial injury it was a pretty cool night.

My family was there this week. We were touched how the jewish people were horribly mistreated by the nazis. We're a Bible believing Christians & we love the jewish people & stands with Israel. We believe that any Christian who hates the Jews is not a true christian & does not know their Bible. But i was a little disappointed when I did not find even a little article about how the Philippine President Manuel Quezon accepted jewish refugees during the world war II when not many countries opened their doors to the jewish people. I learned about it watching the PBS documentary titled "Rescue in the Philippines." We love the apple of God's eye & will always support & stand with them.

Every thing there is wow The interesting thing i enjoyed most is that material used are for both men and women. It's not just for a single gender. It's African style

I'm from Georgia last night me and my friends couldn't figure out what club we wanted to step in so my potna made a few calls we ended up at #SoundCheck I really enjoyed myself the club is awesome great sound the venue had so many beautiful ladies working and partying we had a section great service and then I spot 50cent yep fiff was in the building epic night definitely I recommend everyone to check out this club it's 1000 with me #Salute real clubs are rare and they didn't close till 4am what a night I'll be back

It's one of the few places in DC that is truly about the music with an amazing sound system and space for dancing. I also love how their music ranges all over the place with some of the best talents in the country visiting. We are so lucky to have Tropicalia!!
