Nashville

Okay. So I was very happy to be in Nashville. Tootsie's was our last stop. Sat by the men's bathroom and at times it was stinky. The people moving around was quite entertaining. In fact the group in front of us kept the whole lot laughing in tears. And when John Stone began his show. It was the best! I didn't know who he was and my husband doesn't particularly enjoy country. Well... We both had an amazing time. Yes I probably wouldn't attend willingly had it not been country but oh my! What fun we had. And really. Our opinions don't matter. Tootsie's is an icon. A legend. And in country, Tootsie's is the epicenter of where it all begins. I'm glad we stopped there. It was definitely the best night of my life after my wedding.

We were in Nashville for our anniversary, and quite a few people we asked for recommendations before heading down told us we needed to be sure to include Biscuit Love in our plans. Every recommendation we got for this place was dead on. The long line moved quickly and the door man was great, although I DO hear he's no James. We both had the East Nasty and my wife said it may have been the best chicken she's ever had. As a bonus, the owner, Karl happened to come by to bus our table, and we chatted him up for a few minutes about both his personal story and the restaurant's story. Incredibly nice guy with an awesome story both of how he and his wife ended up together, and how that lead to Biscuit Love.

Traveling through Nashville and a friend recommended I try it. I did a pour over and an espresso, both exceeded my expectations and gave me the much needed fuel to drive the rest of the way to Colorado. The barista also made an awesome recommendation for a killer taco spot around the corner for dinner. If you're in the area don't miss it.

I have been knowing the owner for over 35yrs I finally got a chance to sit and have a sit down with my favorite lady for this loving atmosphere great service and the food is great penny great job and your son has done an awesome job as well

I love this place. I used to come alone and Beth, Briley, Joel and the whole crew made sure I enjoyed myself. But hey what's not to enjoy at a metal show anyways! Best venue/bar in town, hands down. I go at least once a week. Good drink prices, small door fees.

I've been coming to exit/in since the late 90s and have seen hundreds of shows here, from bassnectar & pretty lights to three 6 mafia and digable planets with every genre in between. I have never had an issue with the staff or security -- those complaining should learn to treat others how they'd like to be treated. If you have a valid reason and aren't going to do drugs in your car, security will usually let you back in (if you ask nicely). Overall love this venue and its history.

My wife and I are currently staying here. Started off only staying Friday and Saturday night for our 10 year anniversary. Decided to come up Thursday. We were booked our room and were issued M4100. Wall paper was coming off the walls, yellow stained ceiling tiles and the AC was messed up in our room. Called for some to come look at it. As soon as he walked into our room and heard our complaints, he called and changed our room. He then took us on a tour and we stopped at the bar. The assistant general manager found us and told us that Chris from engineering advised her of our bad experience. She gave us a free cheesecake and Champagne on the house for our anniversary. It turned out, due to Chris, our stay is nothing but a great experience. The staff will go out of their way to help in any way. Thanks to Chris and Karissa for changing our first impression with such a great experience. They truly went above and beyond. 5 stars due to them alone.

I first visited Nashville for work this June (2016) and booked three nights. After falling in love with the city, I extended my stay at the Preston Hotel for a full week; I love the unique funkiness of this boutique hotel! My stay was perfect from start to finish - beginning with a courteous shuttle driver who picked me up after a delayed flight at 2am from the airport. My room was clean and inviting and after over 20hrs of travel, it was a comfortable place to settle in. The dining staff was accommodating to my requests for copious amounts of coffee; Barbara the bartender at The Pink Slip was awesome; and the room service my second full night was great - I had a good steak and a to-die-for (or at least worth blowing a lot of calories on), slice of cake! The front desk workers were great including the trainee who helped me often and had great suggestions for places to go and things to do around town. The general manager had a quiet yet strong presence in the hotel and graciously chatted with me various times over the course of my stay. With all this said and eight weeks later, it's the reason I'm staying another full week at the Preston. The service here is better than the large chain hotels (sorry Hilton) I've stayed at across the U.S. Some of the staff remembered me, which is super welcoming; the rooms and beds are comfortable and I was even able to get a refrigerator and microwave in my suite. The Preston is close to all things fabulous in Nashville including The Grand Ol Opry, Opry Mills Mall (which is a free shuttle ride), downtown Nashville, East Nashville with its awesome restaurants, and the list goes on... I plan to move to Nashville next year and know I'll be staying here again a few more times; because this hotel, as much as the city itself, makes me feel like I'm already home!

I love the zoo! We got a membership this year and go atleast once a month. I'm so excited about the new exhibits being worked on too. Last year we went to a keeper talk with i think the cougars. We were the only ones there and had a great conversation. She told us all about how the new exhibit would allow us to see the animals closer. I'm so psyched. The zoo has come such a long way since I was a little girl. When we go now, my daughter insists that we see flamingos (they are funny when they fight) and the tortoises. Every. Time. I know more about tortoises than i ever really wanted to. Exhibit staff and zookeepers are informative and great at answering my 5 year olds many questions.

I love this place. A Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing way to get some exercise. My only complaint is the lack of parking (especially on the trail head accessible via Otter Creak off Thompson Lane). On busy days there is a line of traffic backed up waiting for a parking spot to become available.

I love it. It reminds us of what humans can do, that we will share the importance of history being preserved and protected. Without a past we have no future.

It's difficult to overstate the appeal & importance of Johnny Cash to country music. Like all performers, he had ups & downs through the course of his long career, but his legacy is a powerful & lasting one, to which this museum is a fitting memorial. Which of course means that as it's located centrally in downtown Nashville, it's also a rather crowded one. I was in town recently for the weekend to see Paul Simon perform at the Ryman Auditorium & never having been to Nashville before, wanted to experience the best of the city. I figured this was part of it & made a point of including it on my list. I allowed myself a little more than an hour to experience the full museum (a single floor, made up of some genuine content & a fair mix of "period" pieces, plenty of audio/visual material & text displays to read as you wander through the museum). There's a cafe & a gift shop that has a decent, albeit uninspired selection & you're allowed to take photos (no flash) & no video. This is a must-see stop, as anyone should be aware of the Man in Black & his impact on country music.

Whether or not you are a fan of country music, you should at least take the opportunity to understand & appreciate its history, evolution & connection with other genres. All that & more can be learned with a couple of hours spent at the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville. I confess I am not a huge fan of country music personally. Yes, I appreciate several songs & the contributions of artists over the years, but I don't follow any of their careers. Still, I value having an awareness of history & the three floors of this museum are filled to bursting with that. Like most museums, there are rotating special exhibitions - when I went, there was one on Dylan, Cash & the Nashville Cats, Keith Urban, & a couple others. There are of course core highlights, including the various costumes & instruments once owned by various star performers. There's even a Taylor Swift Education Center, because why wouldn't there be? As an additional & must-do, you can add an hour-long tour of RCA Studio B to your ticket & get a shuttle bus to & from to see where some classic records were recorded. It's part of their platinum package. Then, come back & spend a bit more time at the museum, or go on your merry way. This is why you're in Nashville. Unless you're there for an insurance convention.

I see a lot of complaints about the kiosks here. I just tell them no thank you and keep walking. They are. Trying to make a living of course they will approach you or call you to come check their product. It isn't that serious. Get over yourselves! You don't have to be rude. I've seen worst behavior from shoppers towards them. How about respecting the fact they are trying to feed their families and it's their job to sell you things. Unless they stand in your way or grab you don't complain!!! Oh I love this place by the way. I come here at least twice a month from Clarksville.

Oh my gosh what can I say? You have to just have this experience. I love downtown Nashville. Anytime any season I'm ready to go

Last night was my 40th birthday, drove up from Chattanooga to party in Nashville, made a great decision to stop in and ended up staying until closing. The ladies were fast on the drinks, the atmosphere and music was great, and a special thanks to Kendra and Red they are amazing, had a blast.

Went to The Stage with a group last night. Some of us are locals but some of the group were from CA. Gotta say those CA gals can hang with the best of us and sang all night. We had a blast! Music everywhere and everyone was so friendly and having a great time. One of the security guys upstairs was very friendly and helpful. Wish I would have gotten his name.
