Louisville

Wow! Talk about delicious! My 4.5 year old has been begging to go for a week now, since the shop opened. We live in Bardstown and finally made it today. I had blackberry, my husband had the toasted marshmallow, and my kids (4.5 and 8) had chai latte. Everything was delicious. Very flavorful and fresh. The chai, though. Wow. Perhaps the best chai flavor I've ever tasted. The popsicles are big, too. Everyone loved what they got. We will definitely be back!

Good ambiance, great location, and, best of all, amazing food. The coffee is strong and the cookies are delicious. If you're in the mood for something healthy, I recommend the Fruit and Yogurt Parfait.

Alright. Here's the gist: They got rad ass aracrade games out the wazoo, tons of awesome pinball selections, one hell of a serious menu; they book great alternative music every single week, and both of the owners are kick ass dudes. That's hard to beat, folks. I actually stopped by yesterday evening just for a Chicken Caesar Salad. Best in the city.

I do not often get online and write reviews to places. I do however, read them. I was very nervous about going and staying at this "5 star" hotel. Some of the reviews were not very flattering. They however, were very wrong. We came to Louisville and the Galt House for the National Pawn Broker's Convention. My business partner and I have never been to a 5 star hotel and were not sure what to expect, especially after reading some of the negative reviews. I could not have been more astounded with the fabulous way all your staff, from the valet for parking to the check in staff, to the bell hops, treated us. After valet parking took care of our vehicle, the bell hops took all our luggage in and waited while we checked in and then escorted us to our room, unloaded our luggage and answered our questions. We loved the room, we were in an executive suite, which was beautiful. The air conditioner however, did not work. We called the front desk and made them aware of the problem. We then went and did a little exploring to return and nothing still done about the air conditioning issue. We then called the front desk again and they immediately sent up maintenance. The two gentlemen from maintenance were very professional and finally figured out the AC unit was froze up and would not be working. Within 30 minutes, they had communicated with the front desk and got us moved to a different suite. For the inconvenience, you treated us to room service for two. It was fantastic. We felt like we were being treated like queens. Never have I been to a place that made me feel as special as the Galt House did. When ever in the future, I return to Louisville, I will always book my stay with Galt House. Your hotel really is 5 star and I would recommend your beautiful hotel to all my family and friends. My husband and I were there for a wedding of Coleman Coffey and Lauren Pieper Coffey wedding Aug 27th for cocktails dinner and dancing in ballroom 3rd floor it was the best experience I ever been too and so elegant and beautiful severs and bartenders were so courteous and kind at dinner service the servers were so polite kind and courteous as well it was flawless and nothing but the best you can truly know the people that work for the brown hotel love their job and it's about the guests and not just a paycheck to them hats off to your staff at the brown

We took our 6 year old twins yesterday. The Zoo is wonderful! It was a beautiful day and almost all of the animals were out. One of our twins is on the autism spectrum, and she has meltdowns when she has to wait for very long. Luckily, the lines were not too long and they moved fairly quickly. She still had some meltdowns because she was tired of walking, but that is something that we are working with her on. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. The zoo was very clean and beautifully set up. A very enjoyable day!!

My girlfriend and I decided to stop at Churchill downs for our first time while we were on vacation for Memorial weekend. This was a very fun and exciting day For the both of us. First we stopped by the museum which is located at the location and paid $15 for a quick tour/crash course in Churchill Downs, it was well worth it and the staff were awesome! Inside the track the staff were also very friendly and ready to explain to you the betting. Make sure you have already chosen which horse and race number you will be betting on. The prices were reasonable and we loved Churchill Downs, can't wait for Derby next year!!

I held a small wedding ceremony and reception dinner at Woodhaven and I was thrilled with how great everything turned out. The process was smooth from beginning to end. The food was excellent, the staff that day was incredibly patient and gracious with our family, and our server was very friendly and just all the way around outstanding. I couldn't be more pleased with the wedding and I'm so glad we had it at Woodhaven. It's absolutely worth every penny!

We enjoyed our usual walk this morning along the Black Willow Trail and the Louisville Loop in Beckley Park section. We noticed with the uptick in usage has come an greater increase in dog waste left by irresponsible dog owners. This is unfortunate and reminds me what happened at the Big Four Bridge downtown . Dog owners do not have a right to leave their dogs waste wherever they please. We are responsible for our dogs waste. We always carry at least two bags with us and pick up behind our dog WHEREVER she may choose to drop her mess. We fear if all dog owners are not more diligent we could all lose our privilege of enjoying this great park system with our dogs.Sorry for the rant- but this had to be said.

Personally, I think things like this are what you make it. It is open to the public, so not everything is always in the best condition & I have been disappointed by partially broken exhibits. In general, the staff is friendly and helpful and it is basically clean and maintained. The Science Center makes regular changes to exhibits to benefit their customer experience. For anyone on the fence, please consider this, I am approaching my 30s & have been going there since my childhood & some things I can share with my children. I always bring extra clothes for my kiddos & plan to play in the water. & The gift shop is super fun. I have had a season pass & will purchase one for years to come.

I really love the new Speed Art Museum. Before it opened most weeks we would take my daughter to the Local Speed. We both love the new Art Sparks area and look forward to doing art project there that is inspired by art in the museum. My favorite was the van Eyck one. I also love the bright colors in the modern art exhibits. They always make me smile. I was able a few weeks ago to introduce my daughter to "The Red Balloon" in the free movie screening. It was such a special treat to share that with her. She giggled the entire time and it made momma's heart happy. Thank you for all the hard work you do to make the museum great. Needless to say, my family and I are big fans.

Where do I start?! I took my wife and mother to this store for some shopping and had an absolute blast. Rarely do you encounter an owner with such flair for what she does. I spent several hours talking with her, her mother in law, and another employee. They helped the most important ladies in my life shop until they couldn't shop anymore, and didn't once get aggravated with my little guys running crazy. Lol. This will be a store we frequent from now on. Why go elsewhere when you can support a local small business, local artist, and great people! Thanks again for making our day.

I placed an order for some pour over equipment Tuesday morning and it was on my doorstep Wednesday when I got home from work. Thanks for the speed and great products.

Absolutely amazing. The entertainment was so raw and humorous, and only adds to the skill and talent these ladies have for dancing. Kept you engaged and having a good time. The dance floor room DJ was on point, kept a consistent flow all night long ! I never experienced hours and hours of great electronic dance music like Play Louisville !!

The Haymarket Whiskey Bar will delight all five of your senses. For me and my schedule, it's the Sunday Service hosted by Louisville's own (ok via Chicago) David Stuebe. Dave's charm and quick wit adding his Bourbon knowledge is sure to delight all your senses The HWB, hands down, has the largest selection of Bourbons, Whiskeys, Ryes and Scotch...more than anywhere else I've visited. There's also a genorous selection of wines and beers to serve the palate as well. You always know it's 10 o'clock when that distinctive scent of Spinellis Pizza is served up piping hot...first come first served. Dave is always finding new and obscure music and video as well to feed the mind. On occasion, there will be a guest DJ to spin some tunes or a travelling band or two for that 'live' music event. Folks not only come to sample the Haymarkets libations but to rub elbows with some of the coolest locals and travelers from across the pond. If you're wanting a rousing good time and are looking for something to do on a Sunday night, then toss the pup a bone and make tracks to the Haymarket Whiskey Bar located at 331 East Market Street anytime from 4pm-2am. You'll thank me later!
